H&A is active in the resolution of disputes through mediation, arbitration and litigation.  We have offered expert testimony in cases involving bankruptcy, drainage, failure to develop, bad faith pooling and improper payments of royalty.  We are experts in the areas of industry standard practice and the prudent operator standard.  Our objective is to provide the client with unbiased engineering analysis and advice such that an accurate assessment of the value of a case can be determined before the opposing sides become polarized in their positions.  We are not compensated depending on the outcome of the matter but are paid an hourly rate to arrive at independent third party opinions considering the pertinent facts in a case.  In several cases, we have been retained to provide the jury with an overview of the industry as a non-adversarial third party.
